Brenda is the President and CEO of Horan & Associates Brokers Inc., a reg. investment advisory and general insurance firm.  Brenda personally advises clients on their investment management, financial planning, Life insurance needs group investments and benefits.  Brenda currently holds her CEA, along with her Chartered Life Underwriter designation, Certified Health  Specialist designation and is also a  Registered Insurance Broker. 

I am retired from the Federal Government, 18 years with Canada Revenue Agency and 23 years with Old Age and Canada Pensions. I prepared individual income tax returns for 10 years for Credit Union members and clients. The past two years I have worked on my own from my home in Eastern Passage as a registered e-filer preparing individual tax returns and assisting clients with OAS and CPP benefits.

Health Insurance Specialist (CHS), Elder Planning Counselor (EPC), Certified Executor Advisor (CEA), Certified Professional Consultant on Aging (CPCA), and Real Wealth Manager (RWM) designations.  Brian
is currently working towards his Tax & Estate Planning (TEP) designation.

 first became interested in Finance when I started investing in the Shanghai/Shenzhen Stock Exchange in 1996 in China. To further improve my financial and investment expertise, I obtained my bachelor degree in Commerce with High Distinction from the University of Toronto in 2005. After graduation I worked for various accounting firms including KPMG where I obtained enormous experience in financial and tax planning including personal, corporation, and income trust. I obtained my Chartered Accountant designation in 2009 and I also currently hold the CPA designation.

Driven by my strong interest in financial investment, I joined Edward Jones in 2016. As a financial advisor, I help my clients mitigate their risk and protect their hard-earned money while working together to grow it.
