Are you looking for strategies to help save taxes while running your business and preparing for retirement? Are you searching for tax effective ways to move money from your company to your family? Are you suddenly in charge of your financial future due to divorce, being widowed or receiving an inheritance and are looking for advice and guidance?
My team and I partner with business owners (including farmers) and those who are suddenly in charge of their financial future, to reach their financial goals. Our office and process is designed to make you comfortable and feel peace of mind that you are going to be okay. I take the time to really listen and get to know you, and I use an established 5-step Process to learn about what is most important to you and why. Once we've identified your unique needs and goals, we'll work together to construct personalized strategies to help you reach those goals. Common strategies include retirement income strategies, making pension decisions, effective succession and tax strategies for business owners, and legacy planning.
I started working in the finance industry in 2001 and have gone through some of the biggest bull and bear markets. This experience helps me provide my clients with the guidance they need to protect their wealth. I chose to build a career at Edward Jones because their values and core beliefs align with my own – namely that we put the client first. If you would like to have a chat about your dreams, goals or worries please call my office.
I have a sports background and I am very active in the Leduc Community coaching both football and hockey. While coaching football at the University of Alberta with Tom Wilkinson, I was fortunate to have been influenced by both Clare Drake, Murray Smith and John Wooden who taught me valuable skills that transfer well into my role as a financial advisor. My whistle hangs in my office as a symbol that my job is to coach, advise and guide my clients towards attaining their goals.
I've been married to my wife Andrea for 21 years and we have 4 awesome children, as well as Hunny our dog. I love calling Leduc home and am proud to be member of this community.
With 33 years in the financial planning industry I operate a business in downtown Campbellford, ON. I specialize in retirement income planning, estate planning and prepare full financial plans. We offer GIC's and tax preparation as well.

Angela Mercier is owner of Mediation and Financial Services, which is a unique business that
combines
mediation training and financial expertise with helping couples,
families, and business partners’ work through difficult conversations leading
to a settlement agreed to by all parties. Mediation is designed to defuse conflict and
promote communication with all parties.
.Angela
has over 20 years of business experience which include automotive, financial
and alternative dispute resolution (ADR). Angela faced the challenges of restructuring
her entire life after experiencing a particularly challenging divorce. By shifting her professional focus from the
automotive industry to the financial industry, Angela’s goal was to understand
how the experience of divorce could be made less emotionally frustrating,
stressful, and financially problematic. She has been an advocate for a new
approach ever since. Angela realized that communication and co-operation
between a handful of key people during the separation process greatly improved
the experience for all involved and created better outcomes.
In the last 10 years Angela has had extensive
training and experience dealing with both family and business conflicts and/or
disputes. In 2016 she became a Qualified
Mediator with ADR Atlantic Institute and a member with Family Mediation Canada. In 2019 Angela began her training as a
Certified Conflict Management specialist and was completed in early 2020 as well
completed her CEA (Certified Executor Advisor) designation in February 2020. Angela plans
to finish her CLU (Chartered Life Underwriter) in 2020.
Angela believes that conflicts and/or disputes is an
industry that is not going away in fact her practice has shifted in recent years
from 100 % of her mediation files dealing with divorce to now 30% dealing with
Business disputes and 30% dealing with family disputes over wills and estates
with the balance of 40 % dealing with parenting plan issues and
divorce mediation.
Angela is passionate
about helping clients keep their dispute out of the court where there is one
winner and one loser. In an ADR process
such as mediation and conflict management it promotes a win- win outcome.
Taking the time to listen and learn about

planning before any solutions are recommended. I strive to build long
term, tax efficient financial strategies that are unique to your
economic life, always putting your best interests first.
I recognize that everyone’s situation is
different and your financial plan must reflect that. Together we will
build a plan that will help you reach your financial destination on
time, while managing unforeseen risk along the way, ensuring you
permanent financial security.
