Henry Katz  P.ADM, CFP, RFP, FCIS, CEA

Henry Katz has over 35 years experience between accounting and the financial services sector.

Henry also devoted over 26 years to teaching at an Ontario College where he was a Professor, curriculum designer and the Program Coordinator of the highly successful and industry - Certified Financial Planning, Graduate Certificate program.

Henry was nominated for TV Ontario's Best Lecturer 2010 Competition and is a recipient of the international 2008 Award for Teaching Excellence.

His professional designations include: Fellow of the Chartered Secretaries and Administrators (FCIS); Certified Financial Planner (CFP),Certifed Executor Advisor (CEA) and Registered Financial Planner (RFP). In Canada, the Registered Financial Planner (RFP) designation is administered by The Institute of Advanced Financial Planners.

Henry has authored and co-authored finance texts and has been a public speaker.

His experience includes management in a public accounting firm; business auditor with Canada Revenue Taxation; director of finance for a number of privately owned businesses and teaching.

Henry's desire is to work closely with clients to achieve their goals motivated him to move into the financial services industry.

I have worked in several roles at Edward Jones since I started in 1999, including product development, in-depth retirement planning advice, and coaching and training to help teams deliver an ideal client experience. In 2017, I became a financial advisor to share my knowledge and expertise with others.

I obtained my Bachelor of Arts in Economics and I am a Certified Financial Planner® professional and Life Insurance Agent. With over 28 years in financial services, I am equipped to help you navigate through decisions to prepare for the future.

Raised in Toronto, I am thrilled to be living in my husband’s hometown of Port Elgin with our two daughters. We moved here in 2017 and have been welcomed to Saugeen Shores with open arms. I love spending time with my family and enjoy my work with the School Community Council and serving on the Board of Directors for the Saugeen Shores Chamber of Commerce. I am also active with the Chantry Island Cham-bettes (fun group of ladies).

I joined financial and insurance industry in 2014. I also provide strategic leadership

I am also actively involved in the investment and insurance management business where I personally serves the needs of my diverse

I have been with Edward Jones for 10 years but in the industry over 12. I am married 33 years and have 6 children and two little Yorkies and  I was a stay-at-home mom for 11 years before entering back into the work force.  I graduated with Hon BBA from St. F.X. University with a Major in Finance and I love what I do.  I help individuals and families reach their financial goals.  Whether it is a short term goal, saving for an emergency fund or long term goal , saving for retirement, I partner with my clients to help them reach those goals that are important to them

Beyond my practice, I stay actively involved in organizations that matter to me. I am honored to serve as Treasurer for The Bridge Hospice, a tranquil end-of-life care facility dedicated to providing compassionate support during life’s final journey.

Outside of work, I find joy in the creative process—whether crafting greeting cards, scrapbooks, or woodworking projects. My greatest happiness comes from spending time with my grandchildren, exploring new beaches with my husband, Norm, and finding ways to give back through volunteering and charity work.

Estate planning and compliance has become a significant amount of the work I prepare. Being a manager at Avail LLP I have had the opportunity to learn and grow within our estate group. My goals are to assist clients with estate planning to ensure their wishes are met with the least amount of tax liabilities and help executors and families through a challenging time.
