I currently work as a Financial Planner with Vision Credit Union Ltd. and Credential Asset Management Inc. Providing tailored investment solutions and long-term strategies, is the focus of my business.  Extensive knowledge in the accounting and taxation fields, as well as small business development, also provide additional knowledge & resources that benefit my members.

I am a retired Financial Planning Professional.  I am embarking on a new journey of advocacy for those who are looking for assistance in dealing with the loss of a loved one.  

My goal is to provide assistance to those asking the question "What now" when the reality of becoming an executor hits.

I have 20 years experience in the Financial Planning field, as well as Management, Marketing and Bookkeeping experience.

I have been in the business for almost 30 years. Specializing in financial planning, tax planning, insurance planning mortgage planning and estate planning.  

Originally from the UK Maroof emigrated to Canada in 1999 Maroof is a dynamic multi-faceted individual with substantive knowledge and experience in real estate acquisitions and disposal, real estate investment analysis, valuation and appraisal, building sciences, engineering and consulting, and mortgage brokerage and underwriting practices. 

Maroof holds globally recognized real estate specific designations including Accredited Appraiser Canadian Institute, Professional Appraiser (AACI, P.App) of the Appraisal Institute of Canada, Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM) of the CCIM Institute, Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (MRICS) qualified in Building Surveying holding two current charterships in Project Management and Valuation. He is a licensed Real Estate ‘Broker’ with the Real Estate Council of Ontario (RECO), presently fulfilling his second term on the Discipline and Appeals Committee. Maroof is also a licensed ‘Mortgage Broker’ with the Financial Services Regulatory Authority of Ontario (FSRA), and hold other relevant credentials not mentioned in this bio. 

Professional experience and credentials described have required Maroof demonstrate a dynamic problem-solving and decision-making skill set whilst maintaining impartiality, good judgment, outstanding integrity, and the ability to screen information fairly to validate it's credibility. Maroof possess excellent relationship development skills, consistent willingness to communicate, superior analytical skills, and strong professional competence. 

An avid mountain biker and snowboarder, Maroof likes watching UFC and boxing, obtained his motorcycle license in 2020 during the C19 pandemic, took up 4 wheel off-roading, and aspires to make time for hobbies like photography, barrier free design, and site seeing. He has a soft spot for old monuments and historic buildings. 

I had almost 20 years of working as a Legal Assistant with Lawyers in the Burlington area until I made the move to being a Financial Advisor in 2013.  I have joined Carte Wealth Management at the end of 2023 with other Mutual Fund advisors and Life Insurance agents.  The CEA Program is a great addition to my credentials to help our clients and their family members during their crisis situations.  I enjoy helping people with their financial journey. 

I am currenlty working in a head office position and will be offering my services in the future to clients.

Dedicated Estate and Trust professional at MD Private Trust assisting medical professionals and families with Estate planning, wealth transfer and trust administration. I assist our clients with their estate planning needs, often working in collaboration with their lawyer and sometimes their accountant to achieve the optimal estate plan for their situation.

I hold my Certified Financial Planner^TM designation,  Chartered Life Underwriter^TM designation, as well as a
Bachelors of Commerce degree with a major in Finance. Along with my two business partners I own and operate a financial services business contracted with Sun Life Financial.

I provide full services financial planning, including but not limited to retirement planning, income planning, life insurance, critical illness insurance, disability insurance, mutual funds, RRSPs, and TFSAs.

My ability to provide an excellent level of service to clients is a result of the team of qualified individuals I am a part of.

I have been with Westoba Credit Union for over 17.5  years in many roles but in my current  role as Estate specialist since April 28^th,
2020.

The Estate Specialist
position was created to ensure a consistent member experience when assisting
members with estates, while still providing compassion in a time of need. This
role is responsible for ensuring that the estate process is handled seamlessly,
which in turn supports the branches in retaining funds of deceased members.
This position looks for ways to do things easier, better, and faster,
contributing to building our Nimble organization.

Building strong trustworthy relationships and
connection with our members and them having confidence and trust in me and
showing that I care about them and listening and seeing them and providing
guidance to help them through their difficult loss of a loved one that they are
not alone in this that I am here for them.
