Janice joined the financial services industry in 2002 and enjoyed 5 years building a practice in Ottawa, with a focus on Estate and Retirement planning.
In 2007 Janice moved into management, where her career became focused on the training and development of advisors and managers. While that role has evolved over her career, her passion to support advisors in their business has remained.
Janice is member in good standing with the Financial Planning Standards Council (FPSC) and Advocis. She is a long-serving industry volunteer, most recently contributing to the Advocis Ottawa Chapter as Past president, Vice president and Program chair. Janice
was named the Advocis volunteer of the year in 2021.

I used to live directly across the street from my current branch location. You wouldn't believe it, but the advisor who ran the branch at the time, walked across the street, knocked on my door and recruited me to take over the branch. I literally had opportunity knock on my door! How many people can say that?
If you had told me in high school that I would end up becoming a Financial Advisor, I would have laughed at you. But in reality, it truly is a great fit for me. I have a passion for speaking with people and learning. I also have a history of working in roles geared towards helping people. Prior to Edward Jones, I was working at Scotia McLeod for nearly 10 years.
I have been serving my clients at Edward Jones since 2005. My clients are retirement focused or retired. They often have one main goal, which is retirement income certainty. My clients have worked hard to provide for themselves or their family. They are looking for guidance on how to plan for the next stage in their life. My emphasis is always to help them reach their goals in a responsible way. I often view myself as a consultant, especially with clients who are focused on a socially responsible investing approach. At the end of the day, I am here for you, but the decision is ultimately yours.
When I'm not in the office, I like to spend time with my family. In the Summer, we are at the cottage boating or kayaking. In the Winter we enjoy skiing. I have a love for travel and prior to having our son, my wife and I backpacked around the world.
