Benjamin graduated from Dalhousie University’s Schulich School of Law. and in 2015 began his career as a lawyer. In December of 2018, Benjamin formed Barrington Law Inc. and bought a rural law practice in the Barrington area of Nova Scotia and has expanded the practice to serve Shelburne County, as well as other parts of the South Shore, and also the Truro area in central NS.
Being a rural practitioner, Benjamin runs a
general practice focused on transactional law. He has a special interest in the
fields of property, estates and estate planning, marine, and business.

I received a Bachelor of Arts from the Memorial University
of Newfoundland in 1997 and graduated from the University of Saskatchewan
College of Law in 2000. I articled with Wilson King LLP in Prince George, BC,
in 2001 and worked there as an associate lawyer until 2007, when I started my
own law practice.
I am one of the founding partners of Slaney Randall LLP, a small and busy firm
specializing in wills, estates, estate administration and business law.
I am a long-time member and president of the Prince George
Estate Planning Council and an honorary Patron of the Spirit of the North
Healthcare Foundation.
Shelly Smee is a seasoned professional with over 28 years servicing clients in the Lower Mainland. With her team The Integrity Real Estate Group, she manages 50+ transactions a year with a focus on Estate Sales, downsizing and working with investors. She is a well respected member of her community and serves on the Professional Conduct Committee of the Greater Vancouver Realtors. From 2016-2023 Shelly also helped grow Oakwyn Realty from 50 agent to over 600 agents across BC, as facilitator of Oakwyn's Proprietary Post Licensing course, training over 350 new agents and overseeing the HQ branch Regulatory Compliance as Managing Broker. In Fall 2023, Ms. Smee retired from her Managing Broker role to be full-time back doing what she loves best, servicing her clients. Shelly has Developed an Executors Guide and Checklist to assist her clients navigate the complex disposition of Property that often is a major event in the winding up of an Estate. Her extensive network of industry resources ensures an executor can hand over the keys and know the property is in good hands.
