Jason Trefanenko is a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA, CGA) and Certified Exit Planning Advisor (CEPA) with over two decades of experience in public practice. He is a partner at McLaren Trefanenko Inc., a well-established accounting firm serving individuals, corporations, estates, and trusts throughout British Columbia. I am a CPA and I am a Partner in a Scarborough based firm, Vanderkolff & Associate CPA's.  Our firm provides accounting services to individuals and small businesses mainly in the GTA and surrounding areas.  We offer services in personal, corporate, Estate and Trust taxes as well as a wide variety of other essential accounting needs. 

Estate taxes and services are of particular interest to me and I have worked closely with many Executors.  I can offer guidance, advice as well as prepare the required returns, requests, statement of accounts and applicable CRA filings. My role is to assist in the proper filings and to ensure that proper taxes are paid taking into account any possible tax savings.

Ioulia is an Senior Associate Lawyer with the Hummingbird Lawyers Wills & Estates practice group.  Ioulia has a diverse legal background that includes estate, family law,, civil litigation and real estate practice.  Drawing on this experience Ioulia is able to offer proactive legal advice aimed at identifying issues before they manifest into problems. She recognizes the delicate nature of Wills and Estates matters and takes great care to thoroughly understand her clients’ needs to offer tailored advice. 

A natural problem solver, Ioulia utilizes both litigation and the alternative dispute resolution methods to represent her clients. She has appeared at the Ontario Court of Appeal, the Ontario Superior Court of Justice and the Divisional Court. 

Ioulia’s Estates practice includes Wills, Trusts, Powers of Attorney for Personal Care and Property,  Estate Administration, Certificate of Appointment of Estate Trustees, and Estate Litigation.
