Phil is the President of Sawyer & Associates Financial Services Ltd. He began his career in the financial industry in 1983, right after graduating from University with a degree in Economics and began what would become a very successful career as one of the top sales associates with Sun Life Financial in Canada. In 1996, Phil earned the Certified Financial Planner (CFP) designation and has continued to guide his clients through retirement and estate planning issues including assisting executors with navigating the complicated financial, legal and taxation issues they may encounter. Phil is associated with the mutual fund dealership, Investment Planning Counsel (IPC); this relationship allows him to represent almost every Mutual Fund in Canada and a number of banking relationships.
Phil is very active in the financial industry and is a member of the National Advisory Board with Investment Planning Counsel. He has been happily married to his wife Lise for over 30 years, and they have two children, Cathy and Karen.
