I am married 33 years and have 6 children and two little Yorkies and  I was a stay-at-home mom for 11 years before entering back into the work force.  I graduated with Hon BBA from St. F.X. I hold a Bachelor of Commerce degree with 25 years experience in accounting, auditing, contracting and governance.  My keen business sensibility and a process oriented mindset have been key to my career’s success.  Preparing an estate for settlement and settling the estate are processes.  In achieving the goal of any process, I understand the importance of activities undertaken to be informed by business, legal, financial and regulatory requirements.  I understand the important need to liaise with legal, accounting and financial professionals - and the role that adequate preparation for these meetings plays in making the best use of everyone’s time.  I bring this knowledge, experience and skills to support the success of my clients.

I chose to focus my efforts in this area as a result of supporting the legal and financial affairs of my parents as they aged.  Over  time, it became a full time commitment.  As the Enduring Power of Attorney, Executor and Agent for both my parents, I began to appreciate how overwhelming just one of these roles could be to an individual who may not have the opportunity to become as prepared as I had over the years.  I wanted to take my business and personal experience to help Testators and Executors execute their roles with confidence and support.

I am a Class 1 licensed Funeral Director and Death Doula. I am a Rotarian with the North Muskoka Rotary Club and a member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 232 Ladies Auxiliary.
