His career includes senior management positions with national wealth and insurance companies, where he developed innovative business strategies and provided training, marketing materials and case consultation to financial advisors across the country.
A graduate of Ashbury College in Ottawa and Western University in London, Mark is a Chartered Life Underwriter, Chartered Financial Consultant, registered Trust and Estates Practitioner and Certified Executor Advisor. He is licensed to conduct business in every province and territory in Canada.
In addition to CICEA, he is a member of Advocis (the Financial Advisors Association of Canada), the Canadian Association of Gift Planners (CAGP), the Conference for Advanced Life Underwriting (CALU) and the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP).

I am an accredited appraiser with Appraisal Institute of Canada (AACI) and have worked as a tax assessor and property appraiser in rural Manitoba for over 30 years. I specialize in agricultural appraisals.
Margot practices in the area of civil litigation, focusing on commercial, construction and estate law related issues. Margot is a member of the firm's Construction Law and Financial Loss Recovery practice groups. Fluently bilingual, Margot represents both Francophone and Anglophone clients and argues matters before the courts in both official languages.
Margot attended the University of Ottawa, where she obtained her Bachelor's degree in Political Science in 2007 and graduated from the Faculty of Law in 2010. After articling for Doucet McBride LLP in 2010-2011, she joined the firm as an associate following her call to the Ontario Bar in June 2011.
Prior to 2010, Margot developed experience in various legal positions with the federal public service in areas of program delivery and policy, including with the Department of National Defence with the Office of the Judge Advocate General (JAG), the Office to the Secretary to the Governor General of Canada (OSGG), and Transport Canada (TC).
A proud member of the Ontario Bar Association and the County of Carleton Law Association, Margot also delights in supporting a variety of Eastern Ontario and capital area community groups and events.
