I was born and raised in Ontario. I attended school at Dalhousie University in Halifax where I obtained a Bachelor of Arts (Major) in History in 2009. I returned to Ontario and obtained a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Political Science from Brock University in 2012. I continued my education in the United Kingdom at the University of Kent where I obtained a Bachelor of Laws (Honours) in 2014. Thereafter I moved to British Columbia and in 2015 obtained a Master of Laws (Common Law) from the University of British Columbia. I was certified by the National Committee on Accreditation of the Federation of Law Societies of Canada in 2015. I split my articling training between a boutique personal injury firm in Vancouver and MacMillan Tucker in Surrey. 

I am called to the bar in both BC (2016) and Ontario (2019).

I am actively involved in my community. I presently am a board member with the Cloverdale District Chamber of Commerce and have volunteered with various civic organizations in both Surrey and Vancouver. 

Steve, is experienced Insurance Agent, is deeply committed to serving individuals and families by ensuring they have the right insurance plans. With a focus on personalized guidance, I have the  expertise to helps clients find tailored solutions.  Additionally, I hold an Elder Planning Designation (EPC), demonstrating  specialized knowledge in addressing the concerns of the elder community. I have background as an Industrial Construction Supervisor (ICCS) further enriches my skill set, ability to manage complex situations enhances his approach to insurance and financial planning. I am particularly passionate about estate planning and serving the senior market, recognizing their specific financial and health-related needs. Steve’s inclusive approach ensures that he works with everyone who seeks assistance. Whether it’s estate planning or addressing the concerns of family members acting as executors, Steve is dedicated to offering open and effective solutions.

Richard Desjardine has been involved in the financial services industry since 2005 and has held the position of Vice President of Development for the Canadian Institute of Certified Executor Advisors since 2011. He has been actively involved in orchestrating the cicea curriculum and ensuring the messages of simplicity and relevance for CEA candidates.Going forward, Richard will be involved in marketing the CEA program with specific focus on on-line program promotion, and ensuring the new generation of Canadian professionals takes on an active role in working with executors and testators.

Daniel Dessureault
joined PPI as Vice-President, Advanced Sales – Ontario in 2015. He is
responsible for the provision of value-added services and leading edge
insurance solutions to financial advisors working in the business owner, family
enterprise and high net-worth market throughout Ontario. His role is to utilize
a team-coordinated approach to sales opportunities by ensuring business synergy
and collaboration between all marketing resources.

Daniel has over
twenty-five years of experience in the insurance and financial services
industry in the areas of marketing, national sales and distribution management
including senior management roles with some of Canada’s largest insurance
organizations. Throughout his career, Daniel has focused on enhancing sales and
marketing opportunities through the establishment of strong mutually beneficial
relationships and the development of creative marketing strategies.

Daniel graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Actuarial Science from Laval
University. A member of CALU (Conference for Advanced Life
Underwriting), Daniel has his CLU designation and obtained his
CFP designation in 2018.
