5:50 - Putting Your Ducks in a Row - Laura Ross, MBA. CEA, President, Laura Ross Estate Consulting

Laura Ross has acted as the sole executor in many estates within Canada as well as the US, and executed estates from probate to final disbursements within one year in all cases. As executor she managed the sale of several properties in both countries. Laura liaised with lawyers to obtain probate and establish estate accounts quickly while managing relationships with financial providers and government agencies in order to: close or transfer accounts, manage outstanding home and medical expenses and services, cancel insurance policies, notify applicable agencies of the death, etc.

Laura has over 25 years of experience in financial services and investment counselling including Operations, Corporate Finance, Bond Sales and Trading and Client Service. Further, she:

• Certified through the Canadian Institute of Certified Executor Advisors
• Holds an MBA Finance and Real Estate, University of Michigan Ann Arbor, Michigan
• Completed: Certified Financial Analyst Level 1, Partners, Directors, Officers Exam, Registered Representative, Canadian Securities Course, Canadian Options Course

Refreshments, sandwiches and salads will be provided.

If you are a member of your Chapter Network, the CEAN, attendance is $10.

If you do not belong to your Chapter Network yet, whether you are a CICEA member or an interested party, attendance is $50.
