In honour of Make-a-Will Month in November, David Edey, CEA, will be interviewing other Certified Executor Advisors (CEAs) throughout the month on his Executor Help podcast.  He explains “As a CEA, it is time we become more proactive to let the public know how we can help them leave legacies and not legacies with a mess.”

David should know.  The Montreal financial advisor of 35 years was blindsided by the death of both parents from cancer within 12 months of one another.  Settling their estates was costly.  It cost $50,000, but more importantly… and staggeringly, it cost him 7 years, 10 court appearances, his health, and very nearly, his life.  It culminated in triple bypass surgery.

Today, David has a new mission in life, and he literally wrote the book on it.  ‘Executor Help (How to Settle an Estate)’ is available on Amazon. His podcasts of the same name are sensational, and these podcasts promise to be truly inspiring.  CEAs share their stories, experiences and lessons learned to help advisors and clients avoid pitfalls in the estate transfer process.
